1
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
2
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to loose the seals thereof?
3
And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the scroll, neither to look thereon.
4
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the scroll, neither to look thereon.
5
And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6

7
And he came and took the scroll out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8
And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of saints.
9
And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;
write

Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken unto you in a book.

I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
against Israel
Jeremias 2:4
Hear you the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:
Jeremias 3:3-10
3
Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; and you had a harlot’s forehead, you refused to be ashamed.
4
Will you not from this time cry unto me, My father, you are the guide of my youth?
5
Will he reserve his anger forever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, you have spoken and done all the evil things that you could.
6
The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? she has gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the harlot.
7
And I said after she had done all these things, Turn you unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8
And I saw, when for all the causes for which backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
9
And it came to pass through the lightness of her harlotry, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with trees.
10
And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned unto me with her whole heart, but in pretense, says the LORD.

Jeremias 32:30-35
30
For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says the LORD.
31
For this city has been to me as a provocation of my anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
32
Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
33
And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.
34
But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.
35
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
2 Reis 17:18-20
18
Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
19
Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
20
And the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
against all
Jeremias 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremias 1:10
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Jeremias 25:9-29
9
Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the LORD, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10
Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
11
And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
13
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that are written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
14
For many nations and great kings shall be served by them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.
15
For thus says the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury from my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.
16
And they shall drink, and stagger, and go mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17
Then took I the cup from the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:
18
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;
19
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20
And all the foreign people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,
21
Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,
22
And all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands which are beyond the sea,
23
Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the farthest corners,
24
And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people that dwell in the desert,
25
And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,
26
And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27
Therefore you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink, and be drunken, and vomit, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then shall you say unto them, Thus says the LORD of hosts; You shall certainly drink.
29
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says the LORD of hosts.
Jeremias 47:1-51
1
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck Gaza.
2
Thus says the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is in it; the city, and them that dwell in it: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.
3
At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children because of feebleness of hands;
4
Because of the day that comes to plunder all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper that remains: for the LORD will plunder the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
5
Baldness has come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long will you cut yourself?
6
O you sword of the LORD, how long will it be before you are quiet? put yourself into your scabbard, rest, and be still.
7
How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD has given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the seashore? there has he appointed it.
