For he sees that wise men die, likewise the fool and the senseless person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

Nevertheless man being in honor abides not: he is like the beasts that perish.

For he knows vain men: he sees wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

For a vain man will be wise, when a man is born a wild donkey’s colt.

Because, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
